our history

Go postal began as a small shipping store offering FedEx, UPS, USPS and Mailbox  services .

Due to the lack of local, reasonably priced print products, Printing Services were soon added.  We saw a need and decided to fill it.  Go postal dominates the High Country's professional print scene with Small & Wide Format Printing, Promotional Products and Design Services in addition to carrier and freight shipping.  We love the challenge of helping customers find the correct products and services for their businesses and events.  GP specializes in Design & Printing for Events, Advertising, Branding - and of course, Packing and Shipping!

Since it was founded in April 2004, Go Postal in Boone has provided the High Country with top quality products and services along with the best customer service at competitive prices.  We are

the High Country's #1 location for business and personal printing, shipping, and graphic design-- We do it all!

Go Postal...

...Green Printing

Go postal is dedicated to being as environmentally conscious as a design, printing, and shipping company can be. We actively strive to reduce our footprint both personally, locally, and globally. Discover how we are working to be a more Green Printing Business.

Packaging

For years GP has been accepting clean packing material and providing it to our customers at no charge.  While this may cut down on our sales of packing material, it also keeps lots in re-use, cutting down on what goes into the landfill.  While this is currently on hold, we hope to soon start this program again!

lighting

GPB installed the first wave of LED lighting in late 2020 and the second in 2021. The LED lights last longer so we use fewer bulbs and are more energy efficient.

Job Jackets

In 2021, GPB updated our job jackets to reusable clear envelopes from manila folders.  This cut our use of paper folders by about 3,500 each year.  We have initiated using more digital files and less paper for orders.  This cuts at least 8 cases of paper consumption each year!

Recycling

GP Recycles.  Paper, plastic, glass, ink cartridges, cans, bulbs, batteries, cardboard and packing materials. We also use the ends of paper rolls for packing in our shipping department to further reduce waste.

Machinery

GP is always looking to increase efficiency and cut waste.  We upgraded to Wide Format Printers that use less ink and less blank material between jobs. This minimizes the amount of waste and puts less ink into the environment for the same production. Updated software and machinery mean we have less waste in our small format division.

Waste

GP is committed to minimizing waste.  Check Twice, Cut Once.  Our employees make several checks in our design and print process to ensure that when we go to print, it is correct.

This practice keeps waste low.  The best way to conserve is to cut unnecessary waste
